This is the web site of Michael D. Mann, Ph.D., Professor Emeritus of Cellular and Integrative Physiology at the University of Nebraska Medical Center, Omaha, NE. While I was at the University, I did research in brain science and taught neuroscience to all sorts of students including medical, allied health and graduate students. During my tenure, I wrote a textbook (The Nervous System in Action) that was fairly well received by medical students. To make it more widely available, it was converted to web format. It still gets a lot of attention on the web, even though I left teaching in 2005. You will find a link to the web version below.

Also, I developed a self-test facility called NeuroQuiz that students really liked. For several years it was unavailable because the software that ran in was out of date. Now I have rewritten NeuroQuiz, and it again is available from the link below. It is a bit different than the original version in that it doesn't save scores, but it has even more functionality.

I've also included a link to my curriculum vitae so you can judge my qualifications. If you are interested, there are also links to pdf-file versions of almost all of my publications. I hope you enjoy the website.
